Hi, I'm Julia Zaitsev
Your Local Childcare Consultant with a unique perspective
As both a former au pair and a current host mom, I bring something special to the table – real experience from both sides of the au pair journey. I understand the excitement, the challenges, and the incredible rewards that come with cultural exchange and live-in childcare.
My Au Pair Journey
From Ukraine to America, from au pair to advocate
The Beginning: Arriving as an Au Pair
I arrived in the United States from Ukraine as a nervous but excited 22-year-old. I'll never forget meeting my host family at the airport – they welcomed me with such warmth that my fears melted away. Those first weeks were challenging as I adjusted to American life, improved my English, and learned to care for three energetic kids!
Growing and Learning
My English improved dramatically, I made friends from around the world, and I discovered my passion for healthcare while taking college classes. My host family became my American family – they supported my dreams and encouraged me to extend my program. I traveled to 15 states and fell in love with American culture.
New Paths: Education and Career
After completing my au pair program, I decided to stay and pursue my education. With my host family's support, I enrolled in a healthcare program. The childcare experience I gained as an au pair helped me understand the importance of nurturing and patient care.
Full Circle: Becoming a Host Mom
After getting married and having my first child, I knew I wanted an au pair. Who better to understand our needs than someone who had been there? We welcomed our first au pair, and it was amazing to be on the other side – providing the support and family connection I had received years earlier.
Sharing My Experience: Becoming a Consultant
With two kids and a busy healthcare career, I realized how many families could benefit from the au pair program. I became a Cultural Care consultant to help other families discover what we had – affordable, flexible childcare that enriches the whole family. My unique perspective helps me make perfect matches!
Being an au pair taught me that childcare is about more than just watching kids – it's about becoming part of a family, sharing cultures, and creating bonds that last a lifetime. Now I help other families experience this same magic.

Why I'm Passionate About This
It's more than a job – it's my mission
For Families:
As a working mom in healthcare, I know the struggle of finding reliable, affordable childcare. Traditional options are expensive and inflexible. But I also know the solution – au pairs provide the flexibility busy families need while bringing cultural enrichment that benefits everyone.
I've seen firsthand how au pairs become big sisters to children, how kids naturally learn new languages, and how families gain a global perspective without leaving home.
For Au Pairs:
I remember the mix of excitement and fear when I first arrived. That's why I'm committed to matching au pairs with families who will truly support their dreams. I help them understand American culture, advocate for their needs, and ensure they have the transformative experience I had.
Every au pair deserves a family that sees them as more than childcare – they deserve to be valued family members who are supported in their goals.
What I Stand For
The values that guide every match I make
Personal Connection
I personally get to know every family and au pair. This isn't about filling spots – it's about creating perfect matches that work for everyone.
Family First
Au pairs aren't employees – they're family members. I only work with families who understand and embrace this philosophy.
Cultural Exchange
This program is about more than childcare. It's about building bridges between cultures and creating global citizens.
Ongoing Support
My job doesn't end when your au pair arrives. I'm here throughout their entire stay to ensure success for everyone.
Quality Matches
I'd rather make one perfect match than ten mediocre ones. Every placement is carefully considered and personally managed.
Honest Guidance
I'll always tell you the truth about the program – the amazing parts and the challenges. Transparency builds trust.
